Greg Laymon

has 18 years of experience implementing BI applications at Fortune 500 companies, including financial planning and analysis systems and web-based OLAP systems. He joined Symmetry from Pacific Gas & Electric, where he developed and maintained various BI systems for asset management, including tax models, a Return-on-Assets database, and a mortality analysis model.

In addition to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, ProClarity, Reporting Services, Excel, PerformancePoint Server, and Scorecard Manager, Greg’s expertise includes Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Express.

Greg is a Microsoft Certified DBA and is a frequent speaker at user groups, including the Professional Association of SQL Server users. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Davis and an M.B.A. in Finance from California State University at Hayward.
